Description
Clackey Ray serves as a primary character throughout multiple Battle Spirits anime installments. First appearing as the protector of Mimi village, he mistakenly confronts Dan Bashin's group, believing them to be the card thieves Deathmatch Dan. After their duel and resolving the misunderstanding, he joins Dan's quest to oppose the Otherworld King. He possesses a charming and flirtatious nature, often directed at females of any species, yet shows deep loyalty to allies and protectiveness towards those in need. Romantic rejections trigger periods of depression.

His preferred battle color is yellow, commanding spirits such as The GreatAngelia Sophia, The CleverBeast Iberix, The Angelia Cherubim, and The ArcAngelia Isfiel, though he temporarily adopts red during specific conflicts. He secures key cards like The ArcAngelia Isfiel after defeating Lightspeed Shula in a tournament. Throughout Gekiha Dan, Clackey undertakes critical missions, including liberating forced laborers, destroying Horizon Ladders, and confronting the Otherworld King's forces. He supports Dan by lending his X-rare card in the final battle.

In Brave, Clackey captains the airship Beautiful Sophia and aids in fighting the Mazoku threat. He staunchly defends Dan's actions, challenging dissenters like Youth to prove Dan's resolve. A subplot involves his affection for Gizelle, a girl trapped in an arranged marriage to the Mazoku Balgada. Though Dan secures her freedom, Clackey later harbors doubts upon learning of her prior engagement. His story continues a decade later in Saga Brave.

Significant duels include a tag battle alongside Dan against Brustom and Heliostom, where strategic disagreements arise but are overcome for victory. He duels Leon to protect Kajitsu, winning using The ArcAngelia Isfiel. He volunteers to destroy the yellow world's Horizon Ladder, defeating its guardian, the Pantera doll. Across all media, his role evolves from village guardian to airship captain and steadfast ally in multiversal conflicts.
