Description
Nadia, a 14-year-old Soviet orphan during the early Eastern Front of World War II (1941-1942), possesses supernatural psychic abilities. She can predict critical junctures, "moments of truth," where individual actions profoundly influence larger events like battles or the war effort, making her a vital strategic military asset.

Recruited into the specialized Soviet 6th Division intelligence unit, she trained alongside other teenagers with extraordinary capabilities, forming the elite psychic task force known as the First Squad. Nadia led this squad, operating under Soviet command to counter occult threats, until a devastating German aerial attack killed her four comrades. As the sole survivor, she suffered significant memory loss regarding her past and role. Initially wandering after the attack, she was rescued and taken to a clandestine Soviet laboratory researching paranormal phenomena, especially methods to contact the deceased. Her unique abilities were recognized there and harnessed for military intelligence, specifically psychically accessing the realm of the dead, the Gloomy Valley, to gather intelligence.

Her primary mission involved thwarting an operation by the Nazi occult organization Ahnenerbe. Ahnenerbe sought to resurrect Baron von Wolff, a medieval commander from the Order of the Sacred Cross (Teutonic Knights), along with his undead army, to aid the German war effort at a pivotal Eastern Front moment. Nadia's task was to locate and eliminate the Baron within the Gloomy Valley to prevent his return to the living world. During her journeys into the afterlife, she encountered the spirits of her deceased First Squad comrades. She persuaded them to continue their fight beyond death, convincing them to return temporarily to the physical world to assist her mission against the resurrected Baron and the Teutonic Knights, effectively reforming the First Squad unit in a spiritual capacity.

Her character arc involves overcoming personal tragedy and memory loss to utilize her profound psychic gifts in defense of her homeland. She evolves from a survivor burdened by loss and amnesia into a pivotal figure capable of bridging the living and spiritual realms to confront supernatural enemies aligned with Nazi forces. Her actions directly countered Ahnenerbe's plan to alter the war's course using undead crusaders.
