Kenichi, a human male in a post-apocalyptic world, survives a cataclysm that tears him from Mari, his fiancée. Rescued by warlord Harlem Bomber, he ascends to captain of the royal guard, his resolve anchored in reuniting with Mari. When their paths nearly cross—his helicopter passing over Mari and her companion Yumi, unrecognized—their fates remain entwined.

Kenichi intercepts Mari’s endangerment during Rose’s brutal training session, crashing his aircraft into the compound to eliminate her guards. Mari persuades him to spare Rose, triggering their escape. Yumi’s betrayal alerts Harlem Bomber, who demands the protagonist’s assassination as Kenichi’s price for freedom—a mission clashing with Mari’s fragile hope for his redemption.

Kenichi wounds the antagonist with a thrown blade, surviving the failed strike to return to a smoldering base, where Rose lies among the dead.
