OVA
Description
Azusa Hinomori anchors multiple adaptations of "Welcome to Pia Carrot 2." Her parents died before the series, leaving her a pendant symbolizing their love. This pendant triggers conflict when protagonist Koji Maeda mocks a "boyfriend wanted" note inside it after their first encounter—a physical collision involving an accidental compromising gesture—establishing her initial hostility.

She works as a Pia Carrot 2 waitress alongside her younger sister, Mina Hinomori. Azusa displays a tsundere personality, veiling her growing affection for Koji behind persistent animosity. Despite outward disdain, she secretly places his photograph inside the pendant, revealing conflicted emotions. Their relationship shifts from mutual hatred toward tentative romance, but a date collapses under misunderstandings. In the original OVA, Azusa suppresses her feelings after mistakenly believing Koji pursues Mina, stepping aside for her sister. Upon clarifying his feelings for her, they reconcile and couple.

The non-hentai OVA "Welcome to Pia Carrot 2 DX" substitutes Tsukasa Enomoto for Mina in the love triangle. Post-breakup, Azusa dates Shinji while Koji dates Tsukasa. Both struggle to move on, and their lingering emotions become apparent to their new partners. Shinji and Tsukasa facilitate their reconciliation, prompting a mutual confession. They solidify their relationship, remaining a couple in subsequent appearances, including a spin-off movie.

Her arc consistently involves overcoming misunderstandings, reconciling tsundere tendencies with genuine emotion, and honoring her parents through the symbolic pendant.
