Description
Dr. Rachel Stewart Links, born July 4, 2126 in Nereidamu County, Mars, spearheaded BAHRAM's Orbital Frame research and development program. She led the creation of prototypes and production models like Idolo, Isis (later Dolores), Hathor, and possibly others, advancing Metatron-based technology and AI systems for these mecha. Driven by dedication to Martian independence from Earth's oppression, she left her Earthling husband, James Links, and their children Leon and Noel, despite her deep affection for them, believing her scientific skills were vital for Mars' liberation, causing significant estrangement.

During *2167 Idolo*, Rachel supervised Idolo's testing with pilots Radium Lavans and Viola. Witnessing Radium's severe mental deterioration from Metatron exposure, she requested removal from the project. Her knowledge of military secrets led to her arrest by a BAHRAM officer. Imprisoned, she was broken out by her assistant Melissa, secretly a UNSF spy, who aimed to take Rachel to Earth for UNSF Orbital Frame development. Dolores Hayes, another assistant and Radium's lover, was also taken hostage. Radium pursued the escape vessel in Idolo to Deimos Station. During the confrontation, Dolores Hayes died pushing Rachel out of the line of fire. In the Deimos Incident's aftermath, Earth authorities and her family presumed Rachel dead.

Contrary to reports, BAHRAM held Rachel captive on Mars for years following Deimos. During captivity, she spent considerable time tending roses in an underground garden. Roughly five years later, during the *Dolores, i* timeline, her children Leon and Noel, aided by James and the Orbital Frame Dolores, located and rescued her from the BAHRAM compound. Radium Lavans, now alias Napth Pleminger leading BAHRAM, subtly facilitated their escape. After rescue, Rachel reunited with her family. Following Radium's raid on the Earth Orbital Elevator, it was revealed she was pregnant with another child. She possessed a degree of naivety regarding the full consequences of her work and Martian independence's political complexities, a trait shared with her husband.
