Description
Fausto Fidel Melze, son of Leopold Melze, hails from royalty. This noble birth fosters an initial arrogance and competitive spirit evident at Cadoques High's Aerial Division, where he attends the Van Whyl class for students of lesser nobility.

Within the academy, he engages in a persistent rivalry with fellow student Kal-el Albus. Their conflict centers on competing to become Claire Cruz's designated flying partner, a struggle fueled by Fausto's aristocratic pride and sense of entitlement.

When the flying island of Isla faces annihilation from the Sky Clan's massive air fleet, Fausto shifts his focus. He consciously sets aside his animosity towards Kal-el, prioritizing the collective defense of Isla and its inhabitants over their personal feud.

Fausto's death occurs during a retreat in episode 8. While leading classmates away from the battlefront, a Sky Clan fighter intercepts the aircraft he navigates. The attack kills Fausto and his pilot instantly. This event highlights the sudden, indiscriminate nature of wartime loss, contrasting with other character deaths framed as deliberate sacrifices.
