In a post-apocalyptic Earth village, young Luka discovers Lasty Farson discarded by a group posing as divine entities. He frees her and shelters her in his hideout, recognizing their shared struggle. Luka knows local dangers well, recounting his grandfather's survival of past monster attacks and revealing his own family lost to petrification. This fuels his skepticism toward the fraudulent deity exploiting villagers with tales of appeasing a monster called Aterui, driving his resistance.

He guides Lasty to a structure mirroring her celestial temple, where they meet Lukia Shawl. When a stone-turning mechanized monster attacks, Luka witnesses Lasty transform into Angel Rabbie and battle the threat. Her abilities and mission lead him to deduce her heavenly origin. Despite Lasty's duty-bound detachment from humans, Luka expresses a desire for friendship. His actions help liberate the villagers and expose the false deity. In the resolution, he acknowledges Lasty's role while holding hope for their continued connection.
