Description
Undine is a demon embodying Envy, one of the seven deadly sins. Bound by summoning contracts, she notably serves as secretary at Akutabe's detective agency. Her powers revolve around jealousy; encountering women who provoke her envy triggers curses that transform them into unrecognizably unattractive forms. These curses are intrinsically linked to her emotions, dissolving only when she feels happiness. As a mermaid demon, she can assume a human appearance.

Physically, Undine has distinct manifestations. Her small chibi form possesses pale green skin, medium-length blonde hair, round eyes, and a green fish tail, usually wearing a swimsuit top; it appears more humanoid than typical demon chibis. Her hell form remains a mermaid but presents a more conventionally beautiful visage with longer blonde hair and pale green skin, her right eye frequently obscured by her hair.

Her personality is dominated by Envy. She harbors an intense, unrequited obsession with Akutabe, which he manipulates to secure her compliance. This fixation drives her to curse women gaining Akutabe's attention, manifesting as pettiness and vindictiveness that causes chaos, like transforming a school's female population. However, in Hell, she exhibits filial devotion by caring for her sick mother, revealing a capacity for genuine compassion distinct from her primary trait.

Her relationship with Akutabe is defined by his manipulation. He leverages her feelings through feigned affection or romantic interest, discarding her cruelly once her abilities serve his purpose. Despite consistent rejection and mistreatment, her loyalty persists, fueled by a hopeful delusion of winning his affection. This dynamic and her core motivations remain unchanged.

Her background establishes her demonic heritage and familial connections in Hell, though specific origins are undefined. She moves between Hell and the human world via summoning contracts, initially with Himoi before her sustained service under Akutabe. Her character shows no substantive development beyond these established traits, consistently serving comedic and narrative functions through her obsessive love and envy-fueled actions.
