TV-Series
Description
Ai Kaminari, commonly called Ai-chan or known as Yatterman-2, is the daughter of electrician Gorozou and Hikari. She partners with her boyfriend Gan Takada to combat the Doronbo Gang's pursuit of Skull Stone fragments. Appearing as a 12-year-old with short blond hair and blue eyes, her civilian attire consists of a yellow jumpsuit over a purple leotard and a red cap. Her superhero identity features a pink or white suit with heart motifs, a purple mask, red gloves, shoes, and a cap bearing the Yatterman insignia, achieved by reversing her regular clothes.

Her personality blends kindness, courage, and mischievousness. She is sensitive to personal remarks but actively engages in combat using the "Shibire Stick" or "Electric Stick," a telescoping electric baton that shocks foes, deflects projectiles, and blocks weapons. Across the original 1977 series and spin-offs, she assists in constructing and modifying mechas like Yatter-Wan. In the 2008 remake, she urges Gan to act when he behaves carelessly, though this diminishes as he matures. She exhibits romantic jealousy when other women approach Gan, notably Doronjo, and frequently uses percentage-based expressions like "100% trouble" in the 2008 version.

Her role evolves across media:
- In the original *Yatterman* and its 2008 remake, she thwarts the Doronbo Gang's schemes to collect Skull Stones, culminating in Dokurobei's revelation as an alien entity and his departure.
- In *Time Bokan: Royal Revival*, she marries Gan and rejoins the fight when the Doronbo Gang resurfaces, intervening after Jun the Swan's defeat.
- *Yatterman Night* reveals her death decades earlier at Dokurobei's hands; her legacy inspires Alouette to adopt the Yatterman-2 mantle, while robot clones mimic her appearance under the oppressive "Yatter Kingdom" regime.
- Video game appearances (*Tatsunoko vs. Capcom*) depict her with low health but high-speed attacks, utilizing special moves involving Yatter-Pelican and surprise mechas.

Thirteen years post-original series, she is married to Gan and enjoys a honeymoon, briefly overlooking the Doronbo Gang's resurgence before confronting them. Her name "Ai Kaminari" ("love thunder") reflects her heart-themed outfit, romantic nature, and electric weaponry.
