Ai-chan appears in "Mini Moni the Movie: Okashi na Daibouken!" and related media. Working part-time at Bakery Restaurant Tawawa despite her school's prohibition on student jobs, she becomes intrigued by the Mini Moni Cafe's exceptional cakes. Determined to uncover their secrets, she dons a spy catsuit and breaks into their kitchen at night.

During this infiltration, she discovers the fairy queen Nakajalinu turning pastries to stone. Ai-chan is caught in the magical backlash alongside the Mini Moni members, shrinking them all into diminutive CGI versions. Imprisoned in the fairy queen's dungeon, she aids the group's escape by singing a children's song that lulls the gingerbread guards to sleep. Later, she engineers a confrontation with the queen, contributing to Nakajalinu's transformation into a cake-loving form by feeding her cake.

Following the adventure, Mari Yaguchi formally welcomes Ai-chan into the Mini Moni group as Yaguchi departs to assist the transformed fairies (now human children). This marks Ai-chan's official membership, effectively replacing Yaguchi. As a member, she participates in group performances, including the song "Genki Jirushi no Oomori Song" alongside both Yaguchi and the other members.
