Description
Galient Tazaki acts as tactical advisor for the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club at Goha 6th Elementary School. He has a stocky yet muscular frame, brown skin, and pastel silver hair swept back with one bang falling near his nose. Distinctive long sideburns resembling a beard contribute to his older look. His attire reflects equestrian inspiration: white gloves, a black turtleneck, blue vest, short blue coat with black lining, white baggy pants, and black boots.
He helped raise Asana Mutsuba from childhood and chose to stay at Goha 6th Elementary despite being older than her, showing longstanding loyalty. Galient knew of Asana's childhood friendship with Tiadosia Kallister and its collapse following a misunderstanding during a snowy search for a missing child. Initially opposing Rush Duels alongside Asana and Schubel Quill, he formed a pact with Goha Corporation to eliminate the format in exchange for remanufacturing Heavy Cavalry equipment. During this time, he conducted espionage against Yuga Ohdo's group, dug trenches to disrupt their training camp, and captured Rayne and Rino Nanahoshi after defeating Rayne in a duel, later denying the encounter when questioned.
Galient oversaw the demolition of Goha 6th Elementary's old campus and reacted strongly to perceived disrespect toward Asana. He helped explain Rush Duel rules during her duel with Yuga but grew surprised by her developing interest in the format. His defeat by Gavin Sogetsu led to temporary retirement, where he expressed dismay over losing his GG03 machine. He later returned upon learning Yuga's group entered Mutsuba Heavy Machinery's mine and accepted modified Rush Duel rules after discovering the altered R0 unit. This shift culminated in requesting Yuga's help to repair GG03.
During the Goha Rush Team Tournament, he accompanied Asana to meet Lucidien Kallister about mine excavation and witnessed her illness preventing participation. He and Schubel answered Caterpillio Elephantis's call for help against Goha 66's server takeover, facilitating Asana's reconciliation with Tiadosia. Galient later contributed his Duelist ID card for Asana's duel against the Goha Six siblings, specifically offering his ace monster "Kong Taladro de Defensa" (Defense Drill Kong). He observed her victory against Nail Saionji using borrowed monsters and witnessed subsequent events involving Yuga and Otes.
His duel record includes victories against Rayne Nanahoshi and Goha 66 members, and defeats by Gavin Sogetsu and Asana Mutsuba. Galient employs a machine-type deck centered on high-level EARTH monsters using anti-defense tactics, featuring key cards "GG03 Gigaroad" and "Kong Taladro de Defensa". The name "Tazaki" means "rice paddy," while "Galient" originates from the 1984 robot anime *Panzer World Galient*.
