Description
Galvatron originates as the Decepticon leader Megatron, physically and ideologically transformed after encountering the chaos-bringer Unicron. He pursues universal domination, driven by an obsession with power and a bitter rivalry with Optimus Prime. This fixation fuels relentless campaigns to harness advanced weapons like the Mini-Con-powered Star Saber, Skyboom Shield, and Requiem Blaster, combining them into the planet-destroying Hydra Cannon. His tactical acumen surfaces in schemes manipulating Thrust and exploiting Mini-Con technology, though arrogance often leads him to underestimate opponents.

Initially dismissing the Unicron threat, Galvatron acknowledges its severity after Starscream's sacrificial duel. He forges a temporary alliance with Optimus Prime to infiltrate Unicron's body, confronting the emissary Sideways. Following Unicron's apparent defeat, Galvatron breaks the alliance and challenges Optimus, inadvertently reactivating Unicron through their battle's energy. Recognizing his role in perpetuating the cycle of hatred that fuels Unicron, Galvatron chooses self-sacrifice, plunging into Unicron's maw to destroy both himself and the chaos-bringer.

Galvatron resurfaces later, having survived his apparent demise. His decayed form lies dormant within Unicron's remains for a decade, siphoning energon to regenerate. Upon revival, he seizes control of Unicron's body, using it as a weapon to assault Cybertron and harvest energon. This culminates in his immersion in Super Energon, which mutates him into a colossal form and renders him vulnerable to Unicron's resurgent consciousness. After Optimus Prime purges Unicron's influence, Galvatron attempts to destroy Unicron's spark but is possessed again. To prevent Unicron's victory, he flies into a nascent star, igniting it and seemingly perishing.

He later reemerges from the collapsing star, merged with Unicron's remnants to augment his power. Orchestrating schemes from a fiery pocket dimension, he seeks the Cyber Planet Keys and the Omega Lock to accelerate a universe-destroying black hole, intending to remake reality under his rule. This plan involves manipulating planetary rulers like Override and Scourge, though betrayals by subordinates such as Starscream complicate his efforts. Despite setbacks, he adapts by acquiring new abilities like the "Death Machine Gun" to overpower adversaries.

Galvatron's relationship with his forces is strictly utilitarian; he values subordinates only for tactical use and discards them after failures. His interactions with figures like Scorponok and Shockwave highlight his preference for domination over loyalty. Psychological instability emerges through recurring merges with Unicron's essence, amplifying his god-complex and destructive impulses. This is offset by moments of tactical brilliance, such as leveraging Cybertron's energon towers to relocate the planet.
