Description
Galvatron began as Megatron, leader of the alien robot faction Predacons, relentlessly pursuing universal conquest. His history involved plundering multiple planets, stripping them of resources until they became lifeless husks—a fate he intended for Earth. This ambition brought him into direct conflict with the Autobots, Earth's protectors. His earliest documented Earth action involved abducting human scientist Dr. Kenneth Onichi. Megatron subjected Onichi to a violent probe delivering 90,000 volts to extract information, leaving the victim's survival uncertain.
Using the gathered intelligence, Megatron located Autobot protoforms and orchestrated their corruption. He transported them to a human military facility, forced them to scan human vehicle modes, and then infused them with his own spark energy. This process forcibly transformed the protoforms into Decepticons, overriding their original programming and free will, binding them as villainous warriors to his service. His primary objective focused on locating the O-Parts, artifacts essential to activating the Orb of Sigma and gaining control of the colossal entity Fortress Maximus. After acquiring the O-Parts within a pyramid, he faced opposition from Autobot leader Omega Prime. During this confrontation, Megatron was seemingly destroyed.
He survived by painfully draining the life energy from his subordinates Slapper, Darkscream, and Gas Skunk to the point of incapacitation, fueling his rebirth and transformation into Galvatron. This new form granted enhanced power and additional transformation modes. Galvatron's personality shifted dramatically; he discarded any prior semblance of respect or loyalty towards his forces. When Decepticon Scourge attempted betrayal, Galvatron subjected Scourge and all other Decepticons under his command to a torturous process, eradicating their individual consciousness and free will, reducing them to mindless, obedient drones. He further augmented his power by draining energy from Fortress Maximus, nearly killing the entity.
Galvatron escalated his campaign by deploying a global swarm of cyber-bats. These attached themselves to human children, inflicting visible pain and suffering during implantation. The cyber-bats deeply embedded within the children's brains, establishing complete control and turning them into enslaved puppets for planetary conquest. Galvatron explicitly stated his intention to use this method of child enslavement on all future targeted planets. He callously used the suffering and lives of these brainwashed children as leverage, threatening to harm them if the Autobots intervened, forcing Omega Prime into temporary retreat.
Believing the Autobots fled through the Space Bridge Network, Galvatron ordered his mindless Decepticon drones to collapse the network tunnels with molten lava, aiming to kill the Autobots trapped within. This action knowingly endangered his loyal Predacon troops, including Sky-Byte, present in the tunnels. Galvatron dismissed Sky-Byte's attempt to contact him, demonstrating his willingness to sacrifice even devoted followers to achieve his goal of claiming Earth for himself before destroying it, stating the planet would "cease to exist" after his conquest. His ultimate goal remained universal domination, intending to replicate this cycle of planetary exploitation, child enslavement, and destruction across the universe.
