A six-changer boasting forms such as a twin-headed dragon, bat-gargoyle, race car, and spaceship, Megatron orchestrated operations through subordinates like Sky-Byte, Gas Skunk, and Slapper, reserving direct involvement for critical moments. His schemes ranged from hijacking energy generators and sabotaging infrastructure to hijacking broadcast networks for city-wide extortion. Following repeated setbacks, he reprogrammed six Autobot protoforms into Decepticon agents at McKinley Army Base, though these forces also faltered.

Entombed within a pyramid after failing to claim the Orb of Sigma, Megatron reemerged as Galvatron, empowered to siphon life energy and assume four new forms: hydrofoil, pterodactyl, and others. Shedding his Predacon allegiance, he rebranded himself a Decepticon leader, converting allies like Scourge into obedient drones. His ambitions expanded to enslaving Earth’s youth and harvesting Fortress Maximus’s energy as a blueprint for universal domination. Omega Prime—a fusion of Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus—ultimately subdued him using energy amplified by Earth’s children, resulting in his incarceration on Cybertron.

Early 2015 *Robots in Disguise* concept art featured an unused Megatron design transforming into a G1-inspired laser pistol. Excluded from the final series due to continuity conflicts stemming from his *Predacons Rising* exile, his influence endured through narrative references and visual nods to prior incarnations.
