Myu, granddaughter of former great swordsman Jii, trains under him despite his current work as a chimney cleaner. She departs for the magic university Varanoir to become a fighter, preparing for war against demonic threats. After passing the entrance examination, her grandfather provides her with a sword and money for enrollment.

At Varanoir, the initially untalented yet determined Myu quickly proves herself in physical confrontations, defeating a powerful student. Her resilience leads her to win an eating contest involving riceballs, an event resulting in her and her defeated rival becoming trapped in a grotto. She navigates school rivalries, particularly with the talented Ryuto, who consistently treats her as his rival.

Myu wears a headband and has distinctive hair antennae. Her background as a chimney sweeper contributes to her "poor" status classification. Throughout her time at Varanoir, she engages in combat training and adventure as a sword fighter.
