Description
Mario Higuma is a supporting character in the anime series Build Divide, appearing in both Code Black and Code White. He serves as the king's aide in the new Kyoto Tower and is responsible for organizing the rebuild battles, which are card-based conflicts that grant participants the right to challenge the ruler. From his first appearances, he presents a composed and helpful demeanor, but his actions are accompanied by a malicious smile that hints at hidden motives. He actively encourages Teruto Kurabe to take part in the rebuild and reach the king, though his true intentions remain obscured. As the story progresses into Code White, Higuma emerges as a central antagonist, operating behind the scenes with a gang of associates. He is deeply involved in the machinations of Neo Kyoto and the system that sustains the king, suggesting he has a personal stake in the city's artificial reality. His key relationships revolve around the king he serves and the challengers he manipulates, particularly Teruto, whom he seems intent on guiding toward a specific outcome. Physically, he is an adult man with short black hair and rose-colored eyes. His notable abilities lie not in direct combat but in his strategic control over the rebuild tournament infrastructure and his knowledge of the true nature of Neo Kyoto, allowing him to navigate the power structure and influence events from the shadows. Throughout the series, he develops from a mysterious attendant into a more openly antagonistic force, driving the conflict as the hidden puppet master behind the city's trials.
