Wasimo is a humanoid robot built by Hiyori's father to offer comfort after her grandmother's passing. Designed to physically mirror the deceased grandmother, down to the inclusion of dentures, it serves as an emotional substitute for the grieving child. Although it moves at a pace slower than a rhinoceros beetle, the robot holds the latent ability to outrun a bullet train. Its primary function is to soothe Hiyori’s distress and end her persistent crying, created specifically to address the emotional needs of a child coping with loss.
