Description
Suzuri, a tsukumogami born from an inkstone, resides within the Nagatsuki household as one of its benevolent guardian spirits. He appears as a young man with his right eye partially veiled by his hair, balancing composure with approachability. Flirtatious yet sincere, he openly engages with humans, driven by his conviction that tsukumogami experience emotions comparable to their own. This belief fuels his opposition to Hyoma Kunato’s antagonism toward spirits, asserting their shared capacity to feel.

A certified expert in cultural and tourism studies, Suzuri draws upon extensive expertise during missions, reflecting his intellectual curiosity and integration into human society. His ink manipulation abilities allow him to dissolve his body into liquid form to evade harm or unleash ink bursts to disorient foes.

Though initially at odds with Hyoma over the latter’s distrust of spirits, Suzuri’s unwavering sincerity during a crisis involving Nagi eventually earns Hyoma’s respect. Tasked with sealing rogue tsukumogami, Suzuri confronts ethical dilemmas when questioned by targets about hunting their kind, responding with pragmatic resolve that they fulfill their duty to maintain balance.

His journey navigates playful charm and solemn purpose as he champions human-spirit understanding while reconciling his identity. This path reinforces his dedication to coexistence, even as he upholds the Nagatsuki household’s demanding responsibilities.
