Description
Meisa Hinata serves as a main character in the Aikatsu Planet! series, originally achieving fame as the top idol under the avatar Hana. She dominated the Aikatsu Ranking and won the Planet Princess Grand Prix. At her career peak, she vanished abruptly, abandoning her Idol License and AiPla Phone. Her disappearance allowed Mao Otoha to secretly assume the Hana avatar.

Meisa later resumed idol activities with a new avatar, Rose, distinguished by sharp red eyes, thick dark blue lashes, and long, curled red hair styled in a ponytail with mint-green strands. The Rose design was inspired by the first gift from a fan—a single rose painstakingly saved for. Rose’s preferred Swing type is Flower, and her key Dressia is Luxury Rose.

Personality-wise, Meisa is free-spirited and immerses herself intensely in interests, often losing awareness of her surroundings. She values freedom and avoids seriousness, contrasting with her rival Ayumi Tsukishiro’s determination. Meisa remained unaware of her top-idol status until Q-pit notified her and exhibits rapid learning, mastering complex choreography after a single viewing.

Her background includes prior mastery of samba and bowling. Favorite interests encompass music with a good vibe, karaoke, spicy food, and coffee, while she dislikes celery, carrots, and green peppers. Though not attending school, formal address patterns imply she is older than peers like Kyōko and Ayumi.

In relationships, Meisa first encountered Mao Otoha through an accidental collision. Mao later attempts to manage Meisa’s distractibility, such as when Meisa proposed a surprise party for manager Izumi but fixated on showing souvenirs. Izumi harbors guilt, believing excessive Hana job offers drove Meisa to study music overseas. Meisa also sustains a rivalry with Ayumi.

Musically, she performed "Happy Aikatsu!" in the series premiere and collaborated on "Inner Voice" with Ruli Tamaki in episode 15. The episode "Rose of Passion" spotlights her new avatar. Her name carries meaning: "Hinata" means sun, while "Meisa" combines characters for brightness and blossom.

Post-return, she continues as the Rose avatar under Rose Room and Promise Bouquet. Her arc embodies reinvention, transitioning from the vanished prodigy Hana to the passion-driven Rose, reflecting her enduring fan connection and love for artistic freedom.
