Description
Born on Shura, Raoh endured early tragedy when his mother perished saving infant Kenshiro from a fire at Taiseiden. This loss marked his childhood alongside brothers Kaioh and Toki. After Shura's invasion, Jukei took Raoh, Toki, and Kenshiro to Japan to train under Hokuto Shinken master Ryuken. During initiation, Ryuken hurled Raoh and Toki into a canyon, declaring only one could be his successor. Defiantly, Raoh carried Toki while climbing out, demanding both be trained. Ryuken relented, accepting them alongside Kenshiro and Jagi.

Raoh trained relentlessly, forging a power-centric interpretation of Hokuto Shinken: Gō no Ken (Fist of Strength). Fearing Raoh's ambition and destructive potential, Ryuken named Kenshiro his successor. Raoh refused to abandon his martial arts, shattering Hokuto's 1800-year tradition. He slew Ryuken in combat and departed to conquer the post-apocalyptic wasteland, adopting the title Ken-Oh (King of Fists). He raised a vast army, including Jagi, Amiba, Yuda, and Ryuga, seized strongholds like Cassandra prison, and waged a ruthless campaign. His philosophy demanded imposing order through fear and strength, believing conquest essential to end the era's chaos, even declaring his power surpassed the gods.

In *Raoh-den Junai no Shō*, Raoh clashed with the Holy Emperor Souther. Loyal subordinates included childhood friends Souga and his sister Reina, who held deep affection for Raoh. When Souga staged a fake assassination to boost morale by making Raoh appear invincible, Raoh executed Souga publicly to maintain control, concealing his turmoil. Later, Reina suffered critical injuries saving an infant during a battle against Souther's forces. Raoh saved her life using Hokuto healing pressure points and entrusted her care to Toki, returning a pendant she gave him when they fled Shura as children, revealing complexity beneath his conqueror's guise. Raoh strategically monitored Souther, including the mausoleum built by child slaves. Wounded from a prior battle with Kenshiro and wary of Souther's immunity to Hokuto techniques, Raoh avoided direct conflict. Learning Kenshiro was defeated by Souther, he ordered his troops to locate and rescue Kenshiro, delivering him to allies Lin, Bat, and Shu.

Raoh later challenged Koryu, an old rival of Ryuken, testing his recovered strength and defeating him. This led to his duel with Toki, fulfilling Toki's childhood vow to stop Raoh if consumed by ambition. Raoh emerged victorious but, seeing Toki weakened by terminal radiation poisoning, spared him. He battled the Nanto Goshasei, guardians of the Last Nanto General, defeating warriors including rival Juza. Discovering the Last General was Yuria, Kenshiro's fiancée and his own unrequited love, he captured her. Facing Kenshiro, who had mastered Musō Tensei (Unconscious Transmigration of Souls), Raoh felt fear for the first time. Determined to conquer this fear and achieve Musō Tensei, he sought Fudoh of the Mountains, who once instilled terror in him. Fudoh revealed true sorrow was the key. Raoh resolved to kill Yuria to attain this sorrow, only to discover she was dying from illness. Witnessing her resolve and self-sacrifice, Raoh felt genuine empathy and sorrow, unlocking Musō Tensei.

In his final confrontation with Kenshiro at the Hokuto Renkitōza, Raoh was defeated. Before dying, he revealed he used his pressure point mastery to extend Yuria's lifespan, not kill her. With his remaining life force, he unleashed his energy skyward, parting the clouds to bring sunlight to the wasteland, declaring no regrets. His horse, Kokuoh, carried his ashes to Reina, who returned them to their homeland, Shura. Raoh's legacy endured through his son, Ryu, and his influence shaped events and characters long after his death, including the conflict with elder brother Kaioh in Shura.

Raoh's martial prowess stemmed from Hokuto Shinken, enabling him to strike 708 keiraku hikō (pressure points) to inflict internal destruction, control opponents, or heal. He developed Gō no Ken, emphasizing overwhelming physical power and projecting touki (fighting spirit) as energy attacks like the Gōshō Ha wave or Tenshō Honretsu energy blast. His mastery culminated in Musō Tensei, granting intangibility and potentially accessing the abilities of fallen warriors.
