Description
Barry possesses light skin, brown hair, and brown eyes, typically outfitted in a red scarf, silver armor plating, brown arm pads, a fur-lined brown cape, blue pants with fur-lined knee pads, and silver boots. His arrogance manifests in contempt for anyone deemed inferior, including teammates and particularly elves like Silk, coupled with overt racism. Barry exhibits a volatile temper, reacting with aggression to challenges while displaying limited intellect, an inability to acknowledge fault, and deep-seated cowardice under pressure. Consequences for his actions provoke insults or violence rather than remorse.

As Thunder Pike's tank, Barry initially maintained functional ties with members like Yuke. Over time, he, Simon, and Camilla grew increasingly hubristic, exploiting Yuke’s support while demeaning his contributions—eventually shoving him off-camera during a victory stream and dismissing him as a "chore boy." Barry ridiculed Yuke’s demand for fair pay, asserting gratitude was warranted for any compensation and downplaying Yuke’s essential buffs. Post-Yuke’s departure, Thunder Pike faltered; during a Dile Wolfs encounter, Barry refused to aid Simon, causing severe injuries to new recruit Jamie. His negligence in carrying potions endangered the team, and he arrogantly deflected criticism over lacking Beast Repellant or scouting. Guild Master Benwood’s demotion threat amplified Barry’s frustration.

Barry advocated slashing Jamie’s pay to fund Yuke’s return, branding her "dead weight," and escalated her mistreatment by mocking her lack of healing magic and lamenting Yuke’s lost cooking. After failed attempts to recruit Yuke’s new party, Clover, Barry joined Simon in confronting them in Achromatic Darkness. There, he hurled insults at Yuke, spewed racism at Silk, and threatened violence—only to freeze at Yuke’s fury. Thunder Pike’s ensuing demotion fueled Barry’s resentment. Later, in a tavern, he grew rowdy over racism gossip and punched an unprovoked waiter, nearly drawing guards until Besio Salas sponsored them.

Barry participated in Thunder Pike’s ambush where they drugged and captured Clover, aiding Simon’s blackmail to force Yuke into an exploitative contract by threatening Rain’s slave collar. He proposed enslaving Silk as his personal "plaything" to coerce compliance. Ignoring seismic tremors warning of collapse, the dungeon floor gave way, plunging Thunder Pike into an orc den. Barry’s spinal injury immobilized him; he cursed Jamie for the disaster despite Yuke’s rescue instructions. Pleading for help, Simon rejected him as "dead weight." Orcs dismembered and consumed Barry alive, explicitly depicted in the manga and implied off-screen with Camilla in the anime.

His relationships centered on Thunder Pike—Simon as leader, Camilla and Jamie as members, Yuke as former ally. Barry’s attempted assault on Silk and conduct solidified his reputation among the narrative’s most despised figures. No development or appearances followed his demise.
