Description
Annie Leonhart graduated 4th in the 104th Training Corps. Standing 153 cm tall, she has pale blonde hair, blue eyes, and a pale complexion. She often wears a hooded sweatshirt beneath her military uniform and a distinctive ring with a concealed blade on her right index finger, used for self-injury to trigger transformation. After her crystallization and release, her hair is worn down and loose.

Her childhood featured harsh training under her adoptive father in Marley's internment zone, intended to mold her into a Warrior. This brutal regimen led her to violently retaliate, crippling him. Inheriting the Female Titan power, she deployed to Paradis Island in 845 alongside Reiner Braun, Bertolt Hoover, and Marcel Galliard on a mission to retrieve the Founding Titan. This traumatic upbringing fostered a detached, survival-focused worldview and diminished regard for others' lives.

Her personality is emotionally reserved, marked by apathy toward most connections and a sardonic, deadpan humor. She prioritizes self-preservation and openly admits selfish motives, yet respects individuals driven by conviction or duty. Her defining motivation is returning to her father, compelling her to commit morally questionable acts without hesitation. Despite apparent callousness, she exhibits guilt, apologizing to corpses after battles and showing distress over Marco Bott's death. Highly intelligent and analytically skilled, she detects deception effectively but lies poorly.

Her Titan form, the Female Titan, stands 14 meters tall with exposed musculature, limited skin coverage, and a distinctly feminine physique. Abilities include enhanced strength, speed, regenerative healing, selective skin hardening for offense or defense, and a scream to summon Pure Titans. This form integrates her exceptional hand-to-hand combat skills, making her a formidable tactical adversary.

In human form, she excels in swordsmanship and martial arts, ranking top among peers in combat proficiency. Her skills with vertical maneuvering equipment are flawless. Statistical assessments rate her battle ability 10/10, strategy 7/10, initiative 7/10, and teamwork 3/10, reflecting her lone-wolf tendencies.

During the events of Attack on Titan Part 2: Jiyuu no Tsubasa (the Female Titan arc), she operates undercover within the Military Police. Her identity is uncovered after attacking the Survey Corps during an expedition, killing multiple soldiers including Levi Squad members in an attempt to capture Eren Yeager. Cornered in Stohess District, she crystallizes herself to avoid interrogation or execution, entering a four-year comatose state.

Post-crystallization development occurs after being freed during the Rumbling. She allies with former enemies to stop Eren Yeager's genocide. She acknowledges her unforgivable crimes to allies like Hitch Dreyse and expresses gratitude to Armin Arlert for his visits during her imprisonment. Her later actions show increased cooperation and openness, though she retains a self-perception as a monster due to her past.

Her relationship with Eren includes teaching him martial arts during training, techniques he later uses against Reiner Braun. Her infiltration and subsequent exposure as an antagonist force Paradis forces to confront the existence of intelligent Titans and external human threats beyond the Walls.
