Aoi is profoundly shy and struggles intensely to form friendships. Yet, she possesses a determined resolve to conquer her personal challenges and trials. Her character journey centers on this battle against loneliness and her proactive fight to overcome it.

Driven by this struggle, Aoi founds the "Byebye Loneliness Brigade" (BB-dan), a self-created group dedicated to tackling and defeating loneliness. Within the brigade, she appoints Yuuki as captain, operating under a persistent misconception that he shares her deep experience of friendlessness and isolation. This misunderstanding becomes a recurring theme in their dynamic.

In combat, Aoi serves as a Physical Attacker and Debuffer. Her primary strength lies in applying poison-based damage over time effects that ignore enemy defense. Her skills, "Poison Arrow+" and the Union Burst "Venom Blooming," inflict escalating damage based on existing poison statuses—moderate damage converts to massive damage against poisoned targets. This poison-focused approach allows her to effectively counter high-defense opponents.

Her development includes interactions with Yuuki, who inadvertently reinforces her perception of their shared loneliness despite his numerous connections. This dynamic highlights her ongoing challenge with self-perception and forging social bonds.
