Description
Nayuta Asahi commands the stage as the intense vocalist of hard rock band GYROAXIA, his raw vocals and magnetic authority anchoring their sound. Wielding a sharp tongue and frosty demeanor, he enforces ruthless standards on bandmates, dismissing distractions beyond his singular musical obsession. This relentless drive originates in childhood abandonment—his father, legendary musician Iryuu Koga, abandoned the family after deeming Nayuta’s asthma a weakness, igniting a vengeful resolve to conquer music on his own terms.

Hailing from Sapporo, his embittered worldview reduces relationships to calculated exchanges, yet he begrudgingly respects raw talent. When encountering Ren Nanahoshi’s vocal prowess, Nayuta coldly vows to crush him once Ren peaks, forging a one-sided rivalry where Ren’s outreach clashes with Nayuta’s fixation on dominance. Unbeknownst to both, their fates interlace through Syana—the band fronted by Iryuu that inspired Ren’s childhood passion during an outdoor concert, later revealed in manga adaptations as the thread binding their histories.

A Kamogawa Music College law student sharing Ren’s academic orbit, Nayuta paradoxically attracts stray cats, an incongruous softness amidst his steel-edged persona. His name encapsulates contradictions: “Asahi” (morning sun) contrasts “Nayuta,” a fusion of “what,” “reason,” and “multitude”—a mirror to his fractured motivations and the unresolved scars of paternal betrayal that fuel his unyielding ascent.
