Description
Prushka, adoptive daughter of Bondrewd—a White Whistle delver overseeing Ido Front in the Abyss’s fifth layer—was born and raised entirely within the Abyss, never venturing to the surface. Her physical traits reflect her environment: short, curly hair streaked white and green from prolonged exposure to the fifth layer’s curse, paired with vivid red eyes. She dons a green coat, gloves, and a signature oversized hat, seldom removed.

Cheerful and compassionate, Prushka harbors unwavering affection for Bondrewd, addressing him as “Papa” and staunchly defending his morally fraught experiments as driven by scientific ambition. Her curiosity about the surface and yearning for companionship draw her to Riko’s group, whom she eagerly befriends, expressing aspirations to join their expedition and meet their ally Tiare.

Her fate shifts when Bondrewd repurposes her into a “cartridge,” a device engineered to endure the Abyss’s curse during ascents. The procedure proves fatal, yet her consciousness survives within a Resonating Stone of Life, later forged into Riko’s White Whistle. This relic preserves Prushka’s sentience, allowing her to perceive Riko’s surroundings and aid the group’s descent.

In the sixth layer, the whistle is stolen by a Decayed Village inhabitant and altered, cementing her existence as an autonomous relic. Though physically deceased, she persists as a self-aware entity within the stone, retaining memories and emotional bonds. This state, though atypical, aligns with known behaviors of Abyss relics, accepted by peers as a continuation of life.

Prushka’s arc intertwines sacrifice and the moral ambiguities of discovery. Her bond with Bondrewd embodies paradoxical affection and calculated exploitation, as he nurtures her solely to further his research. Even in death, her loyalty to him endures, yet she empowers Riko’s quest, reflecting her dual role as casualty and catalyst of the Abyss’s unforgiving allure.
