TV Special
Description
Yurine Hanazono is a human college student majoring in cultural anthropology who resides in a modest apartment. Her casual experimentation with an incomplete grimoire summoned the demon Jashin-chan, initially driven by curiosity. Trapped with an irreversible spell, she endures Jashin-chan's relentless assassination plots and retaliates with brutal, non-lethal discipline using an arsenal ranging from machetes and chainsaws to tridents and specialized gear like an Akihabara-acquired anti-petrification bracelet.

Her family oversees the Hanazono Shrine in Shinjuku, covertly involved in black market ventures including organ trafficking. Yurine occasionally serves there as a shrine maiden, wielding sacred powers like barrier creation to repel demons. She also works part-time at a costume cafe and briefly ruled Tokyo’s Jinbocho as a dictator during Apocalypse Day, fulfilling childhood delusions of global domination.

Yurine exhibits superhuman physical traits without magical augmentation: exceptional strength lets her hurl objects at supersonic speeds and overpower demons like Minos and Lierre; her durability withstands attacks that incapacitate supernatural entities; hypersonic reflexes allow dodging explosions and intercepting projectiles. Enhanced abilities include transmutation of body parts, time manipulation via traps, retrocognition, and telepathy inducing physical effects like explosive headaches.

She maintains a volatile dynamic with Jashin-chan, enforcing chores while punishing theft or food waste violently. Despite hostility, she recognizes Jashin-chan’s hidden tsundere traits. Close demon associates include neighbor Minos and Medusa, whom she shields from exploitation. She consistently aids angels Pekola (offering shelter/food), Poporon (defending from harassment), and Pino (ensuring safety), though Pekola distrusts her as a "witch." She protects younger entities like ice demon Koji and sells Jashin-chan to obsessive officer Mei Tachibana to settle debts.

Personality blends cynical observation with latent kindness. She acts as an audience proxy, sarcastically dissecting absurdities like Jashin-chan and Medusa’s romantic tension. While sadistic toward Jashin-chan, she shows compassion to children at Persephone’s orphanage. Grandiose delusions manifest in her self-styled identity "Zabiel the Black, Preacher of Evil," though she rarely uses magic. She fears cockroaches and enjoys gory horror films.

During Apocalypse Day, removing her eyepatch triggered an "Ultimate Yurine" transformation, boosting combat prowess against armored foes. This form summons her demonic pet dog Beth and wields a snakesword. She also temporarily mastered Hokuto Shinken martial arts under Kenshiro’s tutelage.

Trivia notes: She stands 162.5 cm tall, her age remains fixed at 19 via "manga logic," her birthday is October 31, and she favors gothic Lolita fashion with an eyepatch covering a functional eye.
