Description
Fudou Nomura is a teenage male transferred to Private Aichi Symbiosis Academy after expulsion. This resulted from a large-scale brawl where he injured over 40 participants, sustaining the most severe injuries himself and requiring hospitalization. The conflict erupted when he protected another student, refusing to become subordinate to Kirukiru Amou, who instigated the violence.

Orphaned since early childhood with no memory of his parents, he was adopted by a man believed to be his grandfather. This grandfather, a master swordsman, subjected him to harsh daily training in Jigen-ryu swordsmanship. The brutal regimen involved physical abuse and torture, leaving extensive scars across his back and torso. Though it developed his combat prowess, the trauma caused him to reject swords entirely. He subsequently created his own hand-to-hand fighting style to compensate.

Physically, he stands 174 cm tall with a well-trained physique, black hair, green eyes, and a neutral expression. He consistently wears the male school uniform, including specialized kevlar gloves to deflect blade strikes. These gloves are less effective against thrusting attacks.

His personality features a laid-back, jovial demeanor and a strong commitment to pacifism. He avoids violence unless necessary for self-defense or protecting others. Despite his reputation as a delinquent, he demonstrates kindness, forgiveness toward betrayals if remorse is shown, and unwavering loyalty to friends. He values personal freedom and resists coercion, rejecting demands to touch Mary Kikakujou's breasts after defeating her. He exhibits high pain tolerance due to his traumatic upbringing, enduring torture sessions without reaction.

His combat abilities center on masterful hand-to-hand martial arts, adapting principles from Jigen-ryu swordsmanship. His signature technique, Madan (魔弹, "Magic Bullet"), channels focused force through a palm strike to generate a concussive shockwave capable of stopping heavy objects like swinging logs. This technique requires close proximity and is less effective against non-solid targets. He is ambidextrous, enabling him to execute Madan with either hand. Training under Tsukuyo Inaba later refined this technique into an upgraded version. His physical conditioning grants enhanced strength (demonstrated by sumo-wrestling a bear), speed (evading sword strikes and moving faster than the eye can track), endurance (fighting through blood loss from stab wounds), and reflexes (catching projectiles).

At Aichi Academy, governed by the female-dominated "Supreme Five Swords," he challenges their authority to avoid forced cross-dressing and gain freedom. His victories over Rin Onigawara, Mary Kikakujou, Satori Tamaba, and Warabi Hanasaka gradually earn their respect and shift their perceptions of male students. His defeat of Kirukiru Amou in a rematch—using Inaba's tactical advice—culminates in her expulsion from the academy. These interactions evolve into complex relationships: Rin and Mary develop romantic feelings and act as his supervisors, though he does not overtly reciprocate. Satori displays obsessive interest, while Tsukuyo Inaba, recognizing his unrealized potential, becomes his mentor despite his inability to defeat her.

Key developments include accidental kisses with Rin, Satori, and Amou; enduring blackmail from Satori involving compromising photos; and participating in Warabi's "Warabimpics" event. His popularity surges among the female student body after his bear-wrestling feat. Following Amou's expulsion, he focuses on refining his abilities under Inaba's guidance.

Trivia notes include a July 4 birthday, blood type O, and the origin of his surname ("field village"). His refusal to wield swords remains consistent, rooted in childhood trauma.
