TV-Series
Description
Tart serves as the tenth member of the Eto Rangers, embodying the rooster of the Chinese zodiac, a position earned by her tenth-place finish in the team's founding race. She acts as the team's elder sister, her stylish yet rough demeanor commanding respect and sometimes intimidating male members like Monk and Bakumaru. Teammates such as Cream and Souffle deeply admire her sincere and dignified nature.
Initially appearing in avian form, Tart permanently adopts a human form after Episode 5. This transformation eliminated most of her inherent weaknesses as a chicken spirit and was also influenced by the practical difficulty of consistently animating her bird form. While her original fighting style involved pecking opponents, her human form offered greater combat adaptability, including martial arts proficiency. A chick timer device facilitates her transformation and also functions as a messenger toy.
Tart develops romantic feelings for Gaō, the tiger spirit, especially after he sacrifices himself to protect her. However, she later recognizes Gaō's unresolved emotions toward Nyanma, revealed as his former lover Chocolat. Witnessing Gaō's enduring love for Chocolat and his commitment to waiting for her return, Tart accepts this reality. Near the series conclusion, she cries but denies her tears when Pochirō offers a napkin. Pochirō tactfully pretends to believe it is raining, and Tart smiles, signaling the beginning of their relationship as the series ends.
Despite her species, Tart fears heights and water. Her character theme song is "Atai wa Tart," and her Eto Ranger badge is located on her belt.
