Description
Ogre, the older brother of Do-ji, leads the force Hyakki within the virtual world of Gunpla Battle Nexus Online (GBN). Known as "Hellfire Ogre," he maintains a stoic demeanor and relentlessly pursues greater strength through combat. This drive leads him to constantly seek powerful opponents, including GBN's reigning champion Kyoya Kujo, viewing them as targets to satisfy his insatiable craving for challenging battles.
As an elite SS-ranked Diver, Ogre possesses exceptional combat skills and strategic acumen. He pilots the GNX-803OG Ogre GN-X and later the Gundam GP-Rase-Two. His formidable reputation is established early; during a Force Battle, he crushes a trio of Divers, leading to a rematch where he mistakes Riku, Yukki, and Sarah for his challengers. After the misunderstanding clears, Ogre engages the actual opponents piloting YMS-08B Dom Test Types. Riku intervenes to protect his friends, resulting in an unintended joint victory against the Dom team's leader. Impressed by Riku's potential, Ogre immediately attacks him, triggering a clash where both activate Trans-Am. Riku's system overloads due to inferior build quality, and Ogre prepares a final blow until Sarah shields Riku, causing Ogre to withdraw with Do-ji.
Ogre's obsession with strength defines his interactions, particularly with Riku. He later observes Riku's growth during the Build Divers' victory against the 7th Military Academy, noting Riku would not remain a rookie. When Hyakki faces the Build Divers in a Battle-Random mission, Ogre insists on fielding their strongest members, anticipating Riku's improvement. During the battle, he ignores other opponents to seek Riku directly. Their duel reveals a shift when Riku refuses to activate Trans-Am, vowing to win through skill alone. This defiance intrigues Ogre, who expresses a desire to fully experience Riku's fighting style. The battle concludes abruptly when Do-ji activates an illegal Break Decal, causing his Geara Ghirarga to go berserk. Enraged by his brother's betrayal, Ogre attacks Do-ji but requires Riku's assistance to subdue the rogue unit. Emotionally drained, Ogre forfeits the mission and later informs Riku of his interest in their unresolved duel.
Ogre reconciles his pursuit of strength with emerging respect for Riku's principles. When invited by Emilia of Avalon to join the Coalition of Volunteers, he declines due to Hyakki's self-imposed suspension following Do-ji's actions, instead recommending the Build Divers as replacements. Later, after learning Riku withdrew from a Matching Battle to search for Sarah, Ogre tracks him down with his newly built Gundam GP-Rase-Two. He forces Riku into combat to test whether Riku's strength is genuine and not reliant on aids like Break Decals. Satisfied with Riku's resolve, Ogre disengages upon learning Sarah is in the Coalition's custody.
During the decisive force battle between the Coalition and the Build Divers alliance, Ogre intervenes to block Kyoya's fatal attack on Riku's 00 Sky. He reveals Hyakki formally allied with the Build Divers just before the battle, motivated solely by his desire for a "true battle." Ogre and Riku jointly battle Kyoya, defeating the champion through coordinated tactics and their signature finishing moves. His heavily damaged GP-Rase-Two crashes afterward, and Ogre encourages Riku to proceed with saving Sarah.
In later appearances like the Re:RISE timeline, Ogre continues participating in GBN, describing Gunpla battles against worthy opponents as "fine dining" and himself as a "gourmet" seeking flavorful combat experiences. His relationship with Do-ji remains central, marked by protective yet stern interactions, as seen when he initially discourages Do-ji from attending battles but acquiesces to his presence.
