Description
Coco is the prince of the Palmier Kingdom, a realm ultimately restored under his rule. He possesses the unique ability to transform between a fox-like fairy form and a human identity known as Kokoda Kouji. In his fairy state, Coco sports beige fur, a salmon-red head tuft, striking blue eyes, and a fluffy tail, frequently ending his sentences with "~coco." His human form presents as a tall figure with brown hair, initially dressed in smart casual attire such as shirts and trousers, evolving later into formal wear like a white jacket and blue trousers.

His energetic and trusting fairy personality contrasts with the calm wisdom displayed as Kokoda Kouji. Coco serves as a mentor to the Pretty Cure team, specifically guiding their leader, Nozomi Yumehara, in gathering 55 Pinkies for the Dream Collet. This device is essential for restoring his kingdom and freeing his best friend, Nuts, trapped within it. Coco fled to the human world following the Palmier Kingdom's invasion by the organization Nightmare.

Coco's relationship with Nozomi develops significantly. Initially viewing her as an ally, he becomes easily flustered by suggestions of romantic feelings. In *Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GoGo!*, he admits his affection after she kisses him to break mind control. Their bond deepens further in *Kibou no Chikara ~Otona Pretty Cure '23~*, where Coco struggles to balance royal duties against his protective instincts towards Nozomi. He eventually confesses, proposes, and they marry. He maintains a close, platonic friendship with Princess Crepe, rejecting their childhood engagement due to cultural misunderstandings.

During the film *Kagami no Kuni no Miracle Daibouken!*, Coco visits Princess Land amusement park with the Pretty Cure team. He and Nuts are abducted into the Mirror Kingdom by the villain Shadow, who seeks the Dream Collet. Coco's knowledge proves crucial when he informs Shadow the device requires all Pinkies to function, aiding the Cures' victory. This highlights his vulnerability to capture and his role in key exposition.

Throughout *GoGo!*, Coco grapples with guilt over involving the Pretty Cure team in renewed conflict against the organization Eternal. He gains the power to summon Cure Fleurets and wields the authority of the Palmier crown, solidifying his role as king. His leadership continues into adulthood, involving inter-kingdom negotiations, such as resolving water shortages with the Donuts Kingdom, alongside occasional visits to the human world.

In later years, Coco temporarily resides near Nozomi in the human world under his alias, supporting her during threats like the Shadows—entities reacting to negative emotions. He remains protective, initially opposing her transformations due to health risks but ultimately respecting her resolve. His character arc concludes with him balancing his monarchical responsibilities and his marriage to Nozomi.
