Description
Hiiro Yano is a university student and a member of the DJ unit RONDO. She stands out with her mature, elegant atmosphere and a composed demeanor that commands attention, complemented by her light hair and sharp eyes. As a university student, she is slightly older than many of her peers in the scene, which contributes to her role as a composed and reliable figure.

Hiiro's personality is defined by a blend of nurturing warmth and firm accountability. She is deeply compassionate and possesses a natural inclination to care for those around her, often described by fans and fellow characters as akin to a mother or an older sister. This is largely influenced by her academic background, as she majors in psychology. She frequently acts as the counselor for her unit, listening carefully to her members’ problems and offering thoughtful advice. However, her kindness is not without boundaries; when someone acts too selfishly or irresponsibly, Hiiro does not hesitate to scold them gently but firmly.

Her primary motivation is the success and well-being of her DJ unit, RONDO, as well as the personal growth of its members. She feels a strong sense of responsibility for maintaining the group's harmony and creative direction. Beyond the group dynamic, she is motivated by a deep, personal journey tied to her past. Hiiro has a fear of narrow and dark places, a condition known as claustrophobia, which stems from a childhood incident where she was briefly trapped inside a closet. This event also caused her to lose connection with an imaginary friend she had created to cope with loneliness during her childhood, as her parents were often absent due to work. Her journey involves reconciling with this part of her past, a process that is supported by her friends in RONDO.

Within the story, Hiiro serves as the visual jockey, or VJ, for RONDO. She is responsible for crafting the unit's unique worldview and aesthetic using her deep knowledge of art. She is also a backup vocalist for the group. Her role is largely that of the stabilizing anchor for the other members, who often have more volatile or shy personalities.

Her key relationships are central to her character. With Tsubaki Aoyagi, the group's vocalist, Hiiro acts as a supportive older sister, gently teasing her about her feelings for another member while helping her overcome her shyness. With Nagisa Tsukimiyama, the guitarist, Hiiro takes on a more direct maternal role, cooking for her, allowing her to stay over, and ensuring she is taken care of. Her relationship with Aoi Miyake, the group's DJ, predates RONDO, as they performed together in a club unit prior to the group's official formation. Hiiro's compassionate nature also extends to her friendships outside the unit, particularly with Dalia Matsuyama, a bartender who helped facilitate a reconciliation between Hiiro and her mother.

Hiiro undergoes notable personal development, primarily explored through her family history. She carries the emotional scars of a lonely childhood, but through the companionship of RONDO and a significant event where she reconciled with her mother at a bar, she begins to heal. This emotional resolution allows her to revisit and make peace with the imaginary friend from her youth, signifying her acceptance of her past and her growth beyond it.

Beyond her musical and artistic talents, Hiiro has several notable abilities and hobbies. She is an expert at cosplay and single-handedly designs and creates all of RONDO’s performance costumes. She also has a talent for cooking and hosts online streams under the alias Scarlet, where she combines her love for cooking and cosplay. Her skills extend to fortune-telling and dream interpretation, though she is careful to remind her impressionable bandmates not to take the results too seriously. She also keeps a pet ferret.
