Description
Nazuna Oikawa's fractured family history includes her father's death after her parents' divorce, leaving her with a mother who remarries repeatedly. These remarriages force constant relocations that fracture Nazuna's stability and isolate her socially, leaving her with few school friendships. Her relationship with her mother remains tense, marked by clashes over the repeated moves for new partners.

Confronted with another imminent move due to her mother's upcoming remarriage, Nazuna plots to run away. She deliberately engineers a swimming race between classmates Norimichi Shimada and Yusuke Azumi, offering the winner the chance to accompany her. She insists on labeling their departure as "eloping" rather than "running away," framing it as a mature or romantic act. Her approach appears opportunistic, shifting focus between the boys solely based on race outcomes rather than preexisting bonds.

Nazuna possesses a mysterious glass marble found at the beach, though she never activates its time-rewinding power herself. Instead, Norimichi repeatedly uses the marble to alter events after seeing her distress. When escape efforts collapse—usually thwarted by her mother—Nazuna reacts with intense anguish, screaming for Norimichi's aid during confrontations, highlighting her limited agency against authority figures.

Her behavior includes moments others interpret as manipulative or seductive: applying lipstick in a conspicuously sensual manner, publicly removing her yukata at a train station, and singing spontaneously during a train ride. One sequence shows her discarding her dress and sandals into the sea near water before emerging in a fairy-tale-like manner. Camera angles frequently emphasize her physique, particularly through rear shots and focused leg framing.

Across altered timelines, her feelings for Norimichi evolve from pragmatic dependence to genuine affection, culminating in a love confession and an underwater kiss within a fragmented, glass dome-like reality. Her ultimate fate stays ambiguous: after the marble's destruction and her disappearance from school with Norimichi, their outcome—whether successful elopement, tragedy, or another resolution—remains open.
