Description
Torippii Sorano, known as Flappie in English adaptations, is a pastel green parrot with red, yellow, and blue or cyan feathers on the back of the head and blue and yellow tail feathers. The character has a yellow beak and orange talons, and typically wears a red bow with a thin white stripe around the neck.

Initial attire featured a dark blue vest, later replaced by a yellow shirt with a purple jacket that has white straps and lighter pockets. Summer outfits included a white shirt with pale pink, yellow, and baby blue stripes, sometimes paired with an orange cap. In later series, the character wears a dark blue shirt with white stripes and grey pants, switching to a white shirt with blue stripes and dark blue pants in summer, occasionally with a white sailor cap.

A kindergartner at Challenge Kindergarten, Torippii is whimsical, quirky, and a goofball—talkative and loose-lipped, often joking around. The character is indecisive with important matters and has a poor sense of direction. Aspiring to be a singer, Torippii is good at singing though sometimes tone-deaf. The character loves planes and stylish things, is scared of ghosts, and dislikes bell peppers and quiet places.

Torippii lives with mother, father, a feisty grandmother, and three siblings, making a family of seven. The character is the only one in the franchise typically depicted barefoot, though shoes or boots are worn on occasion, and has the ability to fly.

The birthday is January 1 at 7:00 AM, New Year's Day, with blood type O. The favorite food is takoyaki. The name Sorano means "sky" and "field," while Torippii derives from "bird" and a bird's chirp sound.

As one of the main characters and the tritagonist, Torippii is very supportive and friendly toward Shimajiro Shimano, the most important friend. Other friends include Mimirin Midorihara, Ramurin Makiba, and Nyakkii Momoyama. A solo character song titled "Sanba de ChaChaCha" is associated with the character.
