Fyodor Patrichev served as a military officer in the Free Planets Alliance, holding the rank of Commodore and later Rear Admiral. Assigned to the newly formed 13th Fleet under Admiral Yang Wen-li, he initially served as Vice Chief of Staff during the fleet's preparation for the Iserlohn Fortress campaign. Patrichev participated in the fleet's first combat engagement: the critical capture of Iserlohn Fortress during the Seventh Battle of Iserlohn. Following this success, the 13th Fleet transitioned into the permanent Yang Fleet stationed at Iserlohn.

After the Free Planets Alliance surrendered under the Treaty of Ba‘alat, its warships faced dismantling. During the Second Alliance–Imperial War, Admiral Chung Wu-Cheng provided the battleship *Hyperion* and other vessels to Vice Admirals Edwin Fischer, Murai, and Patrichev. Their mission was to deliver these ships to join Yang Wen-li's El Facil Revolutionary Reserve Force at Iserlohn Fortress in January 800 UC (491 IC / 3600 CE). This effort succeeded in reinforcing Yang's forces after an arduous journey.

Patrichev was killed in action during combat operations in 800 UC (491 IC / 3600 CE). His death was depicted in the episode "The Magician Doesn't Come Back."
