Born Reinhard von Musel on March 14, 776 UC into a poor Reichsritter family on Odin, Reinhard lost his mother early. This forged an exceptionally close bond with his older sister, Annerose. In their middle-class neighborhood, he met Siegfried Kircheis, becoming inseparable friends. Reinhard consistently called Kircheis by his surname.
In 786 UC, a high-ranking noble secured Annerose as a consort to Kaiser Friedrich IV after their father accepted payment. This event ignited Reinhard's rage, driving him to swear the overthrow of the Goldenbaum Dynasty and Annerose's rescue. He and Kircheis immediately enrolled in the Imperial Officer Academy, seeing the military as the fastest route to power.
Graduating top of his class, Reinhard faced resentment during his rapid rise. His first posting was to frozen Kapche-Lanka. There, he uncovered an assassination plot by Marquise Susana von Benemunde, Annerose's court rival. Thwarting the attempt and achieving victories against the Alliance earned him promotion to Sub-lieutenant and transfer to the space fleet, though the conspirators' deaths prevented action against Benemunde.
Assigned to the destroyer *Hameln II*, Reinhard clashed with Executive Officer Bertram during a crisis. With the commanding officer incapacitated, Reinhard temporarily mutinied to save the ship. Bertram died during emergency repairs; the incident was covered up, resulting in Reinhard's promotion to Lieutenant. A later posting at the Ministry of Military Affairs on Odin exposed systemic front-line corruption. His superiors dismissed his findings as a "necessary evil," deepening his disdain for the dynasty.
Command roles followed: the destroyer *Ermland II* and later the cruiser *Herrschrichlenchen* (*Hässliche Entlein*). At the Fifth Battle of Iserlohn, he destroyed an Alliance cruiser, earning promotion to Commander. He then executed a dangerous mission behind enemy lines, recovering stolen directional Seffle particles with officers like Neidhardt Müller and Ernst von Eisenach. As Commodore, he fought at the Battle of Van-Fleet and the Sixth Battle of Iserlohn, demonstrating tactical ingenuity despite bureaucratic hurdles.
At 21, Reinhard became the Empire's youngest Admiral. Kaiser Friedrich IV granted him the defunct noble name "Lohengramm," which he accepted, severing ties with his father. He received command of the custom battleship *Brunhild*, his flagship. His military brilliance shone at the Battle of Legnica, where he ignited a gas giant's atmosphere to annihilate an Alliance fleet. During the Fourth Battle of Tiamat, unorthodox tactics—including a high-risk flanking maneuver—secured victory despite deliberate sabotage by his superior, Admiral Muckenburger.
Following Kaiser Friedrich IV's death, Reinhard, as Imperial Prime Minister and Supreme Commander, dismantled the Goldenbaum Dynasty. He instigated the Lippstadt War against reactionary nobles, crushing their rebellion and consolidating power. Becoming Kaiser, he implemented sweeping reforms: abolishing feudal privileges, redistributing land, establishing welfare systems, and guaranteeing freedoms of speech and assembly. These transformed the Empire into a state described by rival Yang Wen-li as "not by the people, but for the people."
Reinhard's relationships fueled his motivations. His devotion to Annerose drove his ambition to reshape the Empire. Kircheis served as his closest confidant and moral compass until his assassination, which profoundly altered Reinhard's path. He later married Hildegard von Mariendorf, his chief political advisor, fathering a son, Alexander Siegfried. His complex rivalry with Yang Wen-li involved mutual respect, though they directly faced each other only at the Fourth Battle of Tiamat, where Yang temporarily took Reinhard hostage to ensure an Alliance retreat.
Reinhard died of an unspecified congenital illness on July 26, 801 UC, aged 25. His final decree stipulated the Lohengramm Dynasty continue only if his heir proved capable; otherwise, it should yield to a constitutional government. His reign lasted under three years but irrevocably transformed galactic society.
