Description
Arthur von Streit served as a Vice Admiral in the Galactic Empire. Initially acting as security advisor to Duke Otho von Braunschweig, his documented association with the Duke extended back to at least January 796 UC. He was present at the Braunschweig estate during the assassination attempt on Kaiser Friedrich IV by Marquis Klopstock. Following the explosion, Streit interviewed survivors, including Reinhard von Lohengramm, and led the investigation into the incident's origins.
Amid rising political tensions prior to the Imperial Civil War, Streit proposed assassinating Reinhard von Lohengramm to Duke Braunschweig. After Captain Anton Ferner's failed assassination attempt on Reinhard on 6 April 797 UC, Streit surrendered directly to Reinhard and retired. This decision arose from his disillusionment with Braunschweig's leadership, leading him to decline Reinhard's initial offer to join his staff.
Streit later resumed military service as a senior adjutant to Reinhard von Lohengramm, continuing this role after Reinhard ascended as Kaiser of the New Galactic Empire. Reinhard deemed Streit's talents too valuable to waste, despite controversy among other admirals over Streit's prior loyalty to Braunschweig and the nobility. Oskar von Reuenthal interpreted the appointment as a political demonstration, signifying the submission of even former retainers from Reinhard's chief adversary.
