Arthur von Streit served as a Vice Admiral in the Galactic Empire. He first acted as a security advisor and aide to Duke Otto von Braunschweig, a leading noble. While at the Braunschweig estate during Marquis Klopstock’s assassination attempt on Kaiser Friedrich IV, Streit led the investigation and interviewed survivors, including Reinhard von Lohengramm. Amid rising political tensions before the Imperial Civil War, he proposed assassinating Reinhard to Duke Braunschweig. After Captain Anton Ferner’s failed attempt on Reinhard’s life on 6 April 797 UC, Streit surrendered directly to Reinhard and retired, expressing disillusionment with Braunschweig’s leadership and declining Reinhard’s initial offer to join his staff. He later resumed military service as a senior adjutant to Reinhard von Lohengramm, continuing in this role after Reinhard ascended as Kaiser of the New Galactic Empire. Reinhard deemed Streit’s talents too valuable to waste, despite controversy among other admirals over Streit’s prior loyalty to Braunschweig. Oskar von Reuenthal interpreted the appointment as a political demonstration of Reinhard’s authority. As Reinhard’s adjutant, Vice Admiral Streit attended major campaigns and events, including Operation Ragnarök, the Battle of Vermillion, the suppression of Oskar von Reuenthal’s rebellion, and the assassination attempt by Baron Heinrich von Kümmel, during which Streit witnessed Reinhard disarm the attacker after a plot involving Seffle particles. Streit remained alive as of 801 UC, retaining his position within the imperial command structure.
