ONA
Description
Pojirin is a supporting character in the internet anime series Agriculture Angel Baraki, known in Japanese as Agukaru. He is a mole-type beast character and one of the three recurring antagonists, commonly described as a vicious pest trio, that threatens the farmland of Ibaraki Prefecture. He is male and has brown hair, and he stands alongside his two partners Mujirou and Degoro in their campaign against the young farmer Sanae Baraki.

In terms of background, Pojirin is part of the group of beast-type villains that suddenly appear in the vicinity of Mount Tsukuba around 2010 and begin attacking farms using formidable machines. His individual origins are not emphasized; he functions primarily as a member of the trio rather than as a villain with his own detailed backstory. The trio as a whole is driven by the ambition to seize Ibaraki's fertile soil and its agricultural produce, and their methods involve devastating fields so thoroughly that farming becomes impossible.

Personality-wise, Pojirin comes across as lively and enthusiastic, particularly about digging. He greets the start of the planting season with open excitement because it gives him the chance to dig again, and he supports Mujirou's plans to take a piece of Ibaraki's rich farmland with great enthusiasm. His cheerful energy stands in contrast to the destructive nature of the trio's raids, and he appears to take genuine pleasure in his role within their schemes.

His motivations are aligned with the group's larger strategy. The trio aims to claim the region's farmland and crops, and they openly pursue a plan of ruining fields in order to plunge the prefecture's residents into despair, hoping that this will allow them to bring all of Ibaraki under their control. To sustain themselves, members of the trio, including Pojirin, are shown taking on ordinary part-time work in the ending segments, such as making manju at a Japanese sweets shop in Inashiki and running a mobile odd-jobs service, which adds a comedic side to their villainous activities.

Within the story, Pojirin serves as one of the obstacles that push the heroine into action. The trio's attacks on Sanae Baraki's farm are what prompt her to transform into the Agricultural Angel Baraki and fight back, so Pojirin participates in the recurring conflict that structures each episode. He appears throughout the original five-episode series and also shows up in the follow-up installment, Agukaru: Play with Ibaraki-hen.

His key relationships are with his fellow pests. He is closely tied to Mujirou, whose schemes he backs with eager support, and he works together with Degoro as part of the three-member group. Together, the trio operates a shared giant robot, available in humanoid and vehicle forms, which is capable of feats such as standing on one leg and high-speed bipedal running, reflecting the advanced control technology behind it. Against them stands Sanae Baraki, who opposes the trio as the agricultural angel in defense of her fields and the region's agriculture.

In terms of development, Pojirin does not undergo a significant personal arc over the course of the short series. His portrayal remains consistent as the cheerful, digging-obsessed member of the pest trio, and the sequel continues this depiction without granting him deeper individual growth. His most notable ability is his digging, which he is always eager to resume at the start of the planting season, and he relies alongside his partners on the trio's powerful mecha when confronting the heroine.
