Description
Nishiki hails from Fuuma village but bears the label "half-baked" after abandoning the clan's brutal initiation ritual. This incomplete transformation left her with a striking dual appearance: her left side displays Fuuma traits—white hair and a violet eye—while her right side retains ordinary dark hair and dark eyes. Initially seen undercover at Gokumonjo prison, she conceals her Fuuma eye beneath a short pink wig and a guard uniform. She later adopts black-and-purple ninja gear with arm guards and thigh-high boots, before transitioning to a traditional shrine maiden outfit of red pants and a white shirt after joining the Kumo household.

Her past includes undergoing the Fuuma clan's harsh coming-of-age trial, which demanded she kill her sister and endure confinement. Unable to complete it, she fled the village. Her activities between desertion and appearing at Gokumonjo are not detailed. Driven by revenge against those she blamed for the Fuuma's downfall, she infiltrated the prison to assassinate Shirasu Kinjō. However, meeting Soramaru Kumo during a prison riot changed her path; he convinced her to abandon vengeance and find her own purpose. This sparked a profound shift, transferring her fierce loyalty from the Fuuma clan entirely to Soramaru.

She became reserved yet intensely protective, prioritizing Soramaru's safety above all. Her combat skills remained exceptional, and she readily killed threats to him or the Kumo family, contrasting her typically quiet and dutiful demeanor. Her relationship with Soramaru defines her development. She harbors romantic feelings, blushing in his presence and reacting emotionally to his kindness. Her protectiveness manifests in actions like threatening others who approach him. Despite Soramaru urging her to live independently, she remained steadfastly devoted. This loyalty proved crucial during Soramaru's possession by the Orochi, where she helped sever the entity's hold and restore him. Their story culminates in marriage, as shown in the third film's ending credits.

Nishiki struggles with domestic tasks, often producing inedible rice balls. Her primary hobby is flower pressing, reflecting a quieter side. Key quotes define her perspective: she states the Fuuma raised children to "strategize, assassinate, and kill from childhood," and asserts "I have no qualms about killing" when protecting the Kumo family.
