Description
Nowa, a half-human, half-elf with tan or pale skin, brown hair, and amber eyes, grew up orphaned in a human village where her mystical aura and ability to speak with animals bred suspicion. After wandering into the Elven Forest as a child, she was found by Alleyne, an elf captain who trained her in acrobatic combat and appointed her Forest Keeper, charged with guarding the woodland borders. Though respected for her role, the elves’ lingering distrust of her mixed heritage prompted the Elder Council to dispatch her to a quadrennial martial tournament, their motives unclear to her.

Her agile, treetop-skimming combat style relies on a staff and techniques honed under Alleyne, complemented by Lou, her stretch-limbed monkey companion. Lou morphs into living armor or shields during battles, bolstering Nowa’s moderate offensive and defensive strengths while her high agility and latent potential shine.

Energetic, kind-hearted, and guileless, Nowa embraces elven traditions, including forgoing underwear—a deliberate break from human practices that unnerves those around her. She obsessively gathers oddly shaped stones, curating a trove of rare gemstones she values for their forms, not fortune.

Later iterations subtly alter her appearance: lengthened hair adorned with emerald leaf accessories, a choker, and a shorter stature, mirroring her evolving narrative roles. Across adaptations, her core story persists—unwavering loyalty to the elves who sheltered her, driving her to defend their forest.

The elves’ cryptic orders place her in the tournament alongside steadfast allies Alleyne and Lou, whose battlefield devotion proves pivotal. Notably, a 2010 popularity poll ranked her first as a marriage candidate, highlighting her enduring appeal as a figure of compassion and fidelity.
