Description
Itsuki Noya, a first-year student at Ebisugawa High School and male heir to the Noya Group, attempts to join the astronomy club due to his fascination with space but mistakenly enters the Astronomical Club—a group for female otaku with fujoshi interests. The club’s president, Kyoko Todayama, permits only girls to join, forcing Itsuki to crossdress to remain a member.
He serves as the personal maid for the Noya family, who often treats him like a toy though she seems to harbor genuine feelings for him. Itsuki’s crossdressing becomes central to his involvement in the club, especially after Izumiko transfers in and takes interest in refining his feminine appearance.
Throughout the club’s activities, Itsuki engages in various bizarre, parody-filled adventures, participating in unpredictable events steeped in otaku culture and anime references. He is generally energetic and cheerful, though impulsive, and frequently swept into the whims of fellow members.
In the OVA, Itsuki becomes involved in a storyline where the characters discover they are part of an anime production. He expresses surprise upon learning his voice actor is female when the club visits the recording studio, a meta-narrative that explores their existence as fictional characters.
Itsuki’s relationships with other club members are shaped by their collective dynamic rather than deep individual bonds. He often stands at the center of comedic and chaotic situations, aiding the club’s efforts to avoid abolition by the student council. His continued crossdressing and the interactions it inspires remain a consistent element of his role within the group.
