Description
Juchi is a supporting character appearing in the second season of the anime. He is a teenage boy with black eyes and shoulder-length black hair, and his distinctive features include twin ahoge, freckles, a scarf, and wristbands. He is of Mongolian origin and is introduced as a young chef working in the kitchen of the Chrysanthemum Tower, a location significant as the birthplace of the protagonist Mao, despite the tower being expected to be closed.

Juchi holds a high rank within the antagonistic Dark Cooking Society as a member of the Five Tiger Stars, the organization's elite leadership of the five most powerful chefs. His personality is described as friendly and personable, but he also displays a flirtatious and provocative side. He openly expresses attraction towards Mei Li during their first encounter, which creates tension with Mao. Juchi is highly competitive and antagonistic, deliberately provoking Mao by exploiting his obliviousness to romantic feelings in order to goad him into a cooking battle, aiming to crush his spirit through psychological manipulation.

His role within the story is primarily as an adversary connected to the main antagonist faction. As one of the Five Tiger Stars operating directly under the Dark Cooking Society's leadership, he is a formidable opponent tasked with opposing the protagonists. His key relationships include his rivalry with Mao, whom he challenges, and his antagonistic dynamic with Mei Li, whom he flirts with to unsettle his opponent. Juchi specializes in flashy, showy cooking techniques using silver long chopsticks. He is a highly skilled chef from Mongolia, a testament to his position among the Five Tiger Stars. A notable internal conflict is that, despite his elite culinary status, he actually dislikes cooking. This contradiction represents a potential area for character development, suggesting his motivations for being a chef may be tied to power or rivalry rather than a genuine passion for food.
