Description
Yūta Shindō is a 19-year-old part-time worker at the Wagnaria restaurant, standing 185 cm tall with hazel-blond hair and brown eyes. His father owns a butcher shop that fell into financial crisis due to gambling and irresponsibility, accruing significant debt to Shiho Kamakura’s family. To repay this debt, Yūta works multiple jobs—construction, newspaper delivery, and nightclub hosting—but considers Wagnaria the most vital for its free leftover food, helping him save under his strained finances.

Generally kind, polite, and cheerful toward others, Yūta is nonetheless terrified of Shiho Kamakura, both from the debt and for having rejected her in childhood. This fear renders him submissive and under her control. Despite his gentle exterior, he can turn rough and snap at those who annoy him. He deeply appreciates free food or gifts, often relying on leftover meals from coworkers like Takuya and Masahiro.

Yūta and Shiho have known each other since childhood. His past rejection and the financial debt led her to bully and treat him as a servant, using the debt as leverage. Unaware of her lingering feelings, Yūta fuels her frustration and further bullying until they eventually reconcile, realize her true emotions, and begin dating.

His family includes a father he dislikes for irresponsible gambling, a mother, Taeko Shindō, for whom he cares deeply, and an unnamed brother and sister. His father’s actions force Yūta into relentless work to repay the debts.

At Wagnaria, Yūta is close to Kisaki Kondou, seeking her advice. Coworkers frequently support him with food and emotional backing. Despite his hardships, he maintains a strong work ethic and navigates his complex relationships while striving to overcome his financial burdens.
