Description
Horrorman recurs throughout the Anpanman franchise as a skeletal figure with prominent cheekbones and kneecaps. He perpetually wears a tattered purple shirt emblazoned with crossed bones on the chest, his mouth fixed in a teeth-baring grin. He wields a bone boomerang stored in his chest as a weapon.

His personality is happy-go-lucky and inherently clumsy. Though well-meaning and sociable, his lack of awareness often leads him to inadvertently hurt others' feelings. He harbors a desire to scare people, but his deliberate attempts usually fail. Conversely, he frequently frightens others unintentionally through his actions or sudden appearances.

Horrorman commonly resides alongside the antagonist Baikinman and his companion Dokin-chan. Despite this association, he does not consistently participate in their schemes. His motivations diverge significantly due to an intense, unrequited obsession with Dokin-chan, driving him to constantly seek her approval by gathering flowers and food offerings to impress her.

The character's origins and backstory remain largely undefined across official media. A notable exception occurs in the 2007 film *Horrorman to Hora♥Horako*, where a character named Horako claims he was once a prince and identifies herself as his daughter. However, the narrative explicitly presents the reliability of these claims as questionable, leaving his true history unresolved.

In *Soreike! Anpanman: Happy no Daibōken* (2005), Horrorman appears among the main characters. His broader franchise presence establishes him as a tertiary antagonist who often contributes comedic elements through his awkward interactions and misguided efforts, while his underlying kindness occasionally leads him to assist others contrary to Baikinman's intentions.
