Description
Chloe von Einzbern, designated Kuro, emerged as a twin entity born from Illyasviel von Einzbern’s sealed memories and faculties. Her parents, Kiritsugu Emiya and Irisviel von Einzbern, imposed this seal after Illya's birth to shield her from becoming a Holy Grail War vessel in Fuyuki and grant normalcy. A flaw in the sealing ritual allowed these suppressed elements to evolve into an independent personality within Illya. During one of Illya’s magical crises, this personality harnessed the Archer-class Servant card—EMIYA—to manifest physically. Chloe’s tanned skin, white hair, and golden eyes starkly contrasted with Illya’s appearance. Initially claiming Illya’s identity, she later adopted "Chloe von Einzbern" or "Kuro" to prevent confusion.

Chloe displays a calmer, more analytically manipulative demeanor than Illya, exploiting others' vulnerabilities strategically. She nurses profound bitterness over her sealed origin, resenting her parents for the act and Illya for desiring normality—which Chloe perceives as personal rejection. Despite this friction, she openly expresses shared affection for their brother, Shirou Emiya. Her survival initially relied on draining others' mana, primarily via kissing, triggering chaotic or comedic scenarios. This dependency and her unstable form nearly erased her until a pivotal declaration of her will to live awakened latent Holy Grail powers, stabilizing her existence and securing adoption into the Einzbern family as Illya’s cousin.

In combat, Chloe inherits EMIYA’s capabilities through the Class Card. She traces and projects weapons like Kanshou and Bakuya, reinforcing them into elongated Overedge blades. She deploys Noble Phantasms including Caladbolg III, Hrunting, and an imperfect Excalibur replica fired as a mana-intensive Broken Phantasm arrow. Defensive techniques encompass Rho Aias and Rule Breaker for nullifying low-level magecraft. Her tactics emphasize teleportation, spatial manipulation, and homing strikes, yet she remains reliant on external mana sources. Without adequate energy absorption, her form destabilizes.

Chloe’s relationships evolve dynamically. She first regards Illya as a rival, attempting elimination to claim her life, but shifts to a grudging alliance and mutual dependence after Illya accepts her. She forges a protective bond with Miyu Edelfelt, prioritizing Miyu’s safety above all. Interactions with EMIYA reflect conflicted recognition of his identity as Shirou’s future self, while her dynamic with Irisviel mingles exasperation at her mother’s eccentricities with underlying affection. In later events, such as interdimensional travel, Chloe collaborates strategically with allies like Bazett and Gilgamesh to rescue Miyu, adapting resourcefully despite obstacles like magical depletion.

Within *Fate/Grand Order*, Chloe serves as an Archer-class Servant wielding class skills—Magic Resistance and Independent Action—and personal skills: Mind’s Eye (False), Projection Magecraft, and Kiss Demon. Her Noble Phantasm, *Kakuyoku Sanren: Triple-Linked Crane Wings*, is a C-rank Anti-Unit technique showcasing close-quarters mastery. This iteration preserves her core traits—mischievousness, tactical ingenuity, and longing for normalcy—while aligning with the game’s Servant mechanics.
