The King rules the Pumpkin Kingdom and appears exclusively within "The Pumpkin Kingdom's Treasure" segment of the animated feature. He is the Queen's husband and Princess Pumpluplu's father. Before antagonist Warp's arrival, the King was a generous and loving monarch dedicated to his kingdom's welfare, including hands-on research into new pumpkin varieties. He cherished family, particularly making pudding with his daughter, and fostered a joyful environment for his subjects and the resident pumpkin fairies.

Warp infiltrated the kingdom disguised as a minister, manipulating and brainwashing the King and Queen. Under Warp's influence, the King became obsessed with financial gain and material treasures, neglecting his duties as both ruler and father and completely forgetting Princess Pumpluplu. He endorsed Warp's deceptive "Princess Convention" and focused solely on commercial success, indirectly enabling the exploitation of the pumpkin fairies through forced labor.

During the convention, the King and Queen met protagonists but showed no recognition of their daughter. The turning point came when protagonist Haruka prepared pudding for them in a contest. The taste triggered suppressed memories of making pudding with Pumpluplu, shattering Warp's mental control and restoring their parental love. This caused the King to remember his daughter and reject Warp's influence.

Enraged, Warp imprisoned the King and Queen in cages. Following Warp's defeat, they were freed and tearfully reunited with Pumpluplu. The King resumed his benevolent rule and celebrated the restored harmony of the Pumpkin Kingdom by hosting a ball for the protagonists.
