Fritz serves as the chief scientist for the Empire of the Golden Snake and is the father of a young boy named Amon. A brilliant military scientist, he has previously invented weapons for the nation. He refuses to allow his son’s mysterious powers to be harnessed for destruction. To keep his latest research from the despotic ruler Branik—and to prevent Amon’s abilities from being used in the creation of a new super-weapon or bomb—Fritz burns his papers and laboratory. He then tries to flee the country with his family. In the course of their escape, both he and his wife are killed, leaving their son Amon as the only survivor.
