Jonathan was a top player for the professional esports team Team Fox One, managed by Souta Inatsuki. A dispute between Jonathan and Souta fractured the team, leading to its disbandment. Following this dissolution, Jonathan joined rival professional team Sleeping Owl.

When the new Team Fox One formed with players including Shun Tokinoya, Jonathan's affiliation with Sleeping Owl positioned him initially as an antagonist. However, his prominence in that role diminished significantly after Sleeping Owl's ace player, Rox (Mutsuki Naitō), shifted his competitive focus onto Shun Tokinoya as his primary rival.
