TV-Series
Description
Dr. Reese Drake is the older sister of Zoe Drake and daughter of two veterinarians running the Tatsuno Animal Hospital in Sanjo City. She works as an assistant to paleontologist Dr. Spike Taylor at the D-Lab. Her appearance features long blonde hair, purple eyes, and square-framed glasses; she typically wears a green top, brown miniskirt, white lab coat, and dark red high heels. Without her glasses, others once remarked she looked unrecognizable.
Reese designed and built the original Dino Holders for the D-Team's dinosaur summoning and communication. She also created the upgraded DinoShot card activator featured in the DS game, periodically contacting the player there with research updates on the Alpha Gang. Her technical expertise includes operating the Backlander timeship, and she holds a pilot's license.
Predominantly calm, monotonic, and reserved, Reese rarely displays overt emotions. She exhibits frustration when questioned or annoyed, occasionally holding grudges. She possesses notable physical strength, demonstrated when easily restraining Dr. Taylor. Reese fears deep water. Trivia notes her love of cake and the revelation she had never had a boyfriend.
In Season 2 (Mesozoic Meltdown), Reese stays at the D-Lab with Rod and Laura after the Taylors and Drakes are captured by Spectral Space Pirates. She is later taken hostage by Seth and his Cryolophosaurus. Assigned to care for the pirates' dinosaurs during captivity aboard their ship, Reese assists in an escape plan by exploiting the dinosaurs' fear of her oversized syringe ("Big Bertha") to incite a stampede overwhelming the guards. Recaptured, she contributes family recipes during a hostage negotiation and is ultimately freed after the Space Pirates' defeat.
Her family shares close ties with the Taylors. Reese's parents were briefly teleported to Zeta Point to treat sick dinosaurs, showcasing their dedication. Her father later adopted a more assertive and heroic demeanor during captivity, aiding escape efforts. No concrete information exists regarding her appearances in movies, OVAs, or spin-offs beyond the referenced media.
