Zoey first encounters Dawn at the Jubilife City Contest after returning Dawn’s lost accessory, sparking both friendship and rivalry. She wins this contest by deploying Misdreavus in appeals and Glameow in battles, defeating Ash, Dawn, and Jessilina to claim her second Ribbon. Near Hearthome City, she catches Shellos after failing to capture Buizel; Shellos later evolves into Gastrodon. Before the Wallace Cup, she obtains Finneon, which evolves into Lumineon. Her additional Pokémon include Leafeon, a Kirlia that evolves into Gallade, and Misdreavus which evolves into Mismagius.
