Description
Rayne is an eighteen-year-old member of the Aube Hunters, a group of purifiers who fight against the monstrous Thanatos. He is a tall young man of about 181 centimeters with green eyes and red hair that includes a few light blue strands, and he wears two small earrings. He is widely known as a young genius scientist and researcher who specializes in the study of artifacts, the lost ancient technology of the world of Arcadia. In the past, he worked as a scientist and professor and was an important member of the Artifact Foundation, where he carried out research alongside his older brother Yorgo. For reasons that are not immediately explained, he later left the Foundation and now belongs to no research facility; at the time the story begins, he resides at the Sunlit Mansion.
In personality, Rayne is quiet and somewhat shy when meeting new people, and he was especially reserved when he first met Angelique, coming across as distant and almost cold toward her. He loves books and reading, and he spends much of his spare time experimenting and researching artifacts. He is also a very capable cook. Although he can seem impulsive, he is highly reliable, and his intelligence and dedication to his work are widely respected. As the story progresses, he develops sincere romantic feelings for Angelique and becomes deeply protective of her, though his shyness makes it difficult for him to openly show the depth of his feelings.
